Barcdy is a small, family-run touring park tucked into a sheltered vale outside Talsarnau, with wooded hills rising behind and open views across the Dwyryd estuary to the front. It's a genuinely quiet, adults-and-families site rather than a party park, aimed squarely at people who want a settled base for exploring this corner of southern Eryri: Harlech Castle and its beach are a few minutes away, Portmeirion village is just across the estuary, and the mountains of the Rhinogydd and the Vale of Ffestiniog are on the doorstep inland. Pitches take tents, tourers and motorhomes, with electric hook-ups available on both the touring and tent fields, and there's a handful of caravans for hire for anyone without their own. It's the kind of unpretentious, well-run park that relies on repeat visitors rather than passing trade.
