This Camping and Caravanning Club site sits in a former orchard at Southbourne, between Chichester and Emsworth, with the tide-washed edge of Chichester Harbour a short walk beyond the hedge. It's a compact, well-tended rectangle of 55 or so pitches on flat, close-mown grass either side of gravel roads, with apple trees left standing among the caravans for shade. The amenities block is kept to Club standard — clean, warm showers, a laundry and a dishwashing room — and the site is equally set up for tents, campervans and touring caravans. West Wittering and Selsey's beaches are a short drive away, Chichester's cathedral and Roman streets are closer still, and Portsmouth and the ferry to Hayling Island are both within easy reach. It's a tidy, reliable, no-surprises site rather than a characterful farm stay, which suits plenty of people just fine.
