Cwmlanerch Campsite
Cwmlanerch, Betws-y-Coed, Conwy, LL24 0BG, Wales

About this campsite
Cwmlanerch sits beside the River Conwy about a mile outside Betws-y-Coed, part of a working sheep farm on the fringe of the Gwydir Forest. It's a small, simple, family-run field that keeps things deliberately basic: no electric hook-ups, no shop, just level grass alongside the river and a short forest walk into the village for everything else. New all-weather hardstanding pitches were added for motorhomes and campervans, but tents are still very much the mainstay, and the site's popularity comes from the setting rather than the facilities — falling asleep to the sound of the Conwy, with the Gwydir hills rising on both sides. As a working farm the site no longer takes dogs, which keeps the fields quiet for the sheep and for everyone else.
