Dolgam Campsite
Dolgam, Capel Curig, Betws-y-Coed, Conwy, LL24 0DS, Wales

About this campsite
Dolgam has been camping ground for the best part of a century, set on the banks of the River Llugwy midway between Betws-y-Coed and Capel Curig, with Moel Siabod filling the view up the valley. An old farm building has been converted into a solid amenities block with hot showers, a drying room and a washing-up area, but the pitches themselves are simple grass and hardstanding plots along the river, aimed squarely at walkers and climbers using this stretch of the A5 as a base. Alongside tent and touring pitches there's the "Chicken Coop", a quirky half-tent, half-bunkhouse structure, and rooms in the farmhouse B&B for anyone who wants a bed rather than a sleeping bag. As a working farm it doesn't take dogs, but its position on the doorstep of the Snowdon Horseshoe, the Glyderau and the Carneddau makes it a longstanding favourite with the walking and climbing crowd.
