Glen Rosa Farm Campsite
Glen Rosa Farm Campsite, Glen Rosa, Brodick, Isle of Arran, KA27 8DF, Scotland

About this campsite
Glen Rosa Farm Campsite is about as back-to-basics as camping on Arran gets: a grassy riverside field at the mouth of Glen Rosa, a couple of miles out of Brodick, with Goatfell and the Arran ridge filling the skyline behind it. There's no reception building, no shop and no electric hook-ups — just an honesty box, a basic toilet block and cold running water — which keeps it cheap and keeps out anyone looking for a resort experience. What you get instead is one of the best front doors to the hills on the island: the path up Glen Rosa toward Cir Mhor and the ridge starts right from the site, the Rosa Burn has pools good for a cold dip, and campfires are allowed on the riverbank. It fills up fast in summer with walkers and climbers heading for the Arran hills, and small tent groups can usually just turn up, though campervans should ring ahead given the tight space.
