About this campsite
Glenmore is pitched among ancient Caledonian pines on the shore of Loch Morlich, six miles up the ski road from Aviemore and right inside the Cairngorms National Park. Many of the pitches back onto the sandy beach, and the Northern Corries of Cairn Gorm fill the skyline behind the trees. It is a big site, a little over two hundred pitches, but the pines break it up so it never feels like a field of caravans. The watersports centre, the reindeer centre and miles of forest trails are all within a short walk, and the funicular and the high tops are a few minutes further up the road. Winter here is genuinely snowy, so the drying room and the amenity block get used properly.
