Highburn House Country Holiday Park
Burnhouse Road, Wooler, Northumberland, NE71 6EE, England

About this campsite
Highburn House is a family-run holiday park on a small farm just outside Wooler, the self-styled "Gateway to the Cheviots," with a running stream through the grounds and panoramic views across to the Cheviot Hills. It's set up mainly for touring, with grass and hardstanding pitches for caravans, motorhomes and tents, some with electric hook-up and drainage, plus static holiday homes and a cottage for those who'd rather not tow anything. Wooler itself is only a few minutes' walk, with its shops, pubs and cafes, and a string of footpaths lead straight from the park into the Northumberland National Park for walkers heading up into the hills. It's a straightforward, well-run base for the Cheviots on one side and the coast — Bamburgh, Holy Island, Seahouses — on the other.
