About this campsite
A wild, low-key campsite spread across the valley floor at Nant Gwynant, with the water of Llyn Gwynant on one side and the Afon Glaslyn winding through the fields. Pitches are unmarked grass, so you choose your spot among oak and bracken, with the flanks of Yr Wyddfa rising directly above you. It is a walker and paddler place: the Watkin Path up Snowdon starts a couple of miles up the road, and you can launch a kayak straight off the lakeshore. On site there is a small shop, the Cegin serving wood-fired pizza, and a bar pouring beer from the campsite brewery. Beddgelert and the Sygun copper mine are ten minutes away, and Porthmadog and the coast around half an hour.
