Nantcol Waterfalls Campsite
Cefn Uchaf, Llanbedr, Gwynedd, LL45 2PL, Wales

About this campsite
Nantcol Waterfalls Campsite occupies seven flat, sheep-cropped acres in the valley of the Afon Nantcol, tucked under the Rhinogydd between Harlech and Barmouth, with a genuine series of waterfalls and swimming pools a short walk upstream through the campsite's own land. It's a working farm site that has leaned into what makes it different: campfires in raised baskets are actively encouraged rather than tolerated, and pitches are dotted along the riverbank rather than lined up in rows. Alongside standard tent, campervan and caravan pitches there are Bell tents pitched right by the water and a couple of glamping pods for those who want the setting without bringing a tent. It has picked up national campsite awards several years running, and the walk-in waterfalls are as much the draw as the camping itself.
