Oban Caravan and Camping Park sits on Gallanachmore Farm, a working croft about two and a half miles south of Oban along the single-track Gallanach Road, with views out across the sound to the island of Kerrera and, beyond it, Mull. It's a much quieter alternative to the caravan parks closer to the ferry terminal, run by the same farming family who have worked the land here for generations, and it keeps a relaxed, low-key feel even in high summer. Pitches are spread across open, gently sloping fields with sea views from the better ones, and the walk or cycle into Oban along the coast road is a genuinely pleasant one rather than a chore. It's well placed for the Kerrera and Easdale ferries, the seafood shacks on Oban's harbour front, and day trips out to Mull, Iona and the smaller Slate Islands.
