Trellyn Woodland Camping
Trellyn, Abercastle, Mathry, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, SA62 5HJ, Wales

About this campsite
Trellyn is tucked into a sheltered wooded valley above the fishing hamlet of Abercastle, on the quieter north Pembrokeshire coast between St Davids and Strumble Head. Where a lot of coastal campsites are exposed, treeless fields, Trellyn is the opposite — pitches are spaced out among oak and hazel, each with its own fire pit, so evenings tend to revolve around a campfire rather than a windbreak. It's a short walk down through the trees to Abercastle's stone harbour and a shingle-and-sand cove good for a swim, with rockpools either side and the coast path running past. Alongside the tent pitches there are two small yurts, Starlight and Beachcomber, for anyone who'd rather not deal with canvas. It's a small, quiet site rather than a big touring park, and books up well ahead for summer.
