Wicks Farm is a family-run holiday park on the edge of West Wittering, a mile and a half from the beach that regularly tops lists of the best in the country and close to the sailing waters of Chichester Harbour. The touring side of the park keeps 40 pitches, every one with an electric hook-up, laid out on level grass around mature hedging that gives a fair bit of privacy between neighbours. There's also a small cluster of insulated camping pods for anyone without their own kit. Facilities are well kept and geared towards families, with a laundrette, a playing field with goals and a trampoline, and a shop and café up at the static side of the park. It's an easy, unpretentious base for the Witterings and Chichester Harbour rather than a destination in itself, and it gets busy in school holidays, so it's worth booking ahead for July and August.
