Llechrwd Riverside Campsite
Llechrwd Farm, A496, Maentwrog, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Gwynedd, LL41 4HF, Wales

About this campsite
Llechrwd is a small, family-run site on a working farm in the Vale of Ffestiniog, reached off the A496 between Maentwrog and Blaenau Ffestiniog, with the River Dwyryd running along the edge of its twelve acres. The upper field has hardstanding pitches with electric hook-up for caravans and motorhomes, while the lower field is given over to tents pitched right along the riverbank, run on an eco-conscious basis with an emphasis on keeping the site's impact light. It's a genuinely quiet spot for walking and fishing, with the wooded slopes of the Vale of Ffestiniog rising on both sides and the Ffestiniog narrow-gauge railway passing not far away, and it draws a steady mix of backpackers, cyclists and families looking for something simpler than the bigger holiday parks on the coast.
