Applecross Campsite
Applecross Campsite, Applecross, Strathcarron, Ross-shire, IV54 8ND, Scotland

About this campsite
Applecross Campsite sits in six acres of open field above Applecross village, at the end of the road most people reach either by the high, hairpinned Bealach na Ba pass or the long coastal drive round Loch Torridon. The reward for the journey is a view straight across the Inner Sound to Raasay, Rona and the jagged Cuillin of Skye, best appreciated from a pitch near the front of the field at sunset. It's a proper working campsite for the Applecross peninsula: sixty pitches for tents, campervans and touring caravans, a scattering of camping huts and rental caravans, and the Applecross Inn and its seafood a short walk down the hill. Cycling and walking routes fan out from the site, and the peninsula's beaches and the Applecross Heritage Centre are all within easy reach.
