About this campsite
Drymen Camping is a small, independently run campsite just outside the village of Drymen, right on the West Highland Way and a couple of miles from the southern tip of Loch Lomond. It's a firm favourite with long-distance walkers and cyclists on the John Muir Way, Rob Roy Way and National Cycle Route 7, who pitch a tent for the night before pushing on towards Balmaha and Conic Hill the next morning. Alongside simple grass pitches for tents, campervans and small motorhomes, the site has a handful of insulated glamping pods (LandPods, Green Pods and Kocoons) for anyone who fancies a proper night's sleep without carrying a tent. It's a working, seasonal site rather than a resort — clean showers, a drying area and gas-canister sales are about as far as the facilities go — which suits the walkers and cyclists who make up most of its trade.
