Proctors Stead Caravan Park
Proctors Stead, Dunstan, Alnwick, Northumberland, NE66 3TF, England

About this campsite
Proctors Stead is a small, family-run touring park on the edge of Dunstan village, a mile inland from the fishing harbour at Craster and within walking distance of the ruined Dunstanburgh Castle on its headland. It's a level, sheltered green catering purely for caravans and motorhomes — no tents these days — with around 60 pitches, 10 amp hook-ups and a reception that doubles as a small shop for essentials, ice cream and a pint. The Northumberland Coast Path runs right past, so it's an easy base for walking to Craster for kippers and crab sandwiches, or up the coast towards Embleton Bay and Newton-by-the-Sea. It's simple and old-fashioned rather than flashy, which is exactly why people come back year after year.
