Scourie Caravan and Camping Site sits right in the middle of this small Sutherland crofting village, on elevated ground above Scourie Bay with the beach a two-minute walk away. It's a simple, well-loved site on the North Coast 500 rather than a resort, with hardstanding and grass pitches that catch open views west over the water towards Handa Island, one of the best seabird reserves in Britain and an easy boat trip from the village. Scourie has a shop, a bar and a hotel, all within walking distance, and the site's kitchen, laundry and washing facilities make it a comfortable stop for people touring on to Kinlochbervie, Durness or the Assynt coast further south.
