Shieldaig Camping and Cabins
Shieldaig, Wester Ross, IV54 8XN, Scotland

About this campsite
Shieldaig Camping and Cabins is a small touring park in the heart of Shieldaig, a whitewashed fishing village strung along the shore of Loch Torridon. It's a newer, purpose-built site rather than a historic one, but its position is hard to beat: pitches look out over the loch to pine-covered Shieldaig Island, with the jagged ridgeline of the Torridon hills rising behind. It makes a good base for climbing Beinn Alligin or Liathach, driving the Bealach na Ba over to Applecross, or just watching otters and sea eagles from the village shore. The site keeps things simple, with a mix of hardstanding, grass touring pitches and a handful of cabins, and the village pub and shop are a short walk away.
