About this campsite
Tristram sits right on the clifftop above Polzeath, one of Cornwall's most popular surf beaches, with a gently sloping grass field that looks straight down over the sand and the Camel Estuary beyond. It's family run and fenced around the perimeter for safety, which matters given how close the drop to the beach path is. Every pitch is grass — there's no hardstanding — and most have electric hook-up, with pitches ranging from simple budget spots for a small campervan up to terraced premium pitches with uninterrupted sea views. It's a caravan and campervan site rather than a tent site (tent campers are directed to the sister site, Southwinds, a short drive inland); dogs on leads are welcome, and it only takes families and couples over 21, no large groups. Open late March to early November.
