White House Farm Campsite
White House Farm, Wardlow, Buxton, Derbyshire, SK17 8RP

About this campsite
White House Farm is a deliberately simple, back-to-basics campsite in the tiny hamlet of Wardlow, two miles from the viaduct at Monsal Head and a five-minute walk from the village pub. There's no electric hook-up and, at busy times, fire pits and disposable BBQs have had to be restricted because of dry-ground fire risk, so this is one for tents, trailer tents, campervans and small caravans rather than a service-heavy touring park. Pitches are generously sized and set among typical White Peak drystone-walled fields, with the limestone dales around Cressbrook and Miller's Dale within easy walking distance. It's a good, quiet base for exploring the Monsal Trail by bike or on foot, and it keeps a separate field for Duke of Edinburgh and other group bookings so they don't overrun the main site.
