Kettlewell Camping is a single private field right on the edge of Kettlewell village, at the foot of Great Whernside and beside Dowber Gill Beck, with the kind of views up Upper Wharfedale that make people come back every year. It's deliberately no-frills and music-free: grass pitches for tents, six electric hook-ups, and a genuinely short stroll into the village for its pubs, shop and the start of several well-known Dales walks. Pricing is simple and per-person rather than a flat pitch fee, which keeps it cheap for solo walkers and Duke of Edinburgh groups as well as families. It's open from mid-March to the start of November and gets busy on summer weekends, so it's worth booking ahead if you want a spot close to the beck.
