About this campsite

A small, unfussy campsite on a working sheep and beef farm halfway between Muker and Thwaite in upper Swaledale. Pitches sit in riverside meadows walled in by drystone and hay barns, with the Pennine Way and the Swale both a short walk from the gate. There are no marked plots, so pick your own spot, park beside it, and borrow a fire pit from the farm. Muker village, its tea shop and the Farmers Arms are ten minutes on foot, and Keld, Gunnerside and the Buttertubs Pass are all within a few miles. In June and July the surrounding hay meadows are some of the best wildflower fields in the Dales.
