About this campsite
Wood Nook is a small, quiet, family-run park set in six acres of its own woodland at Skirethorns, above Threshfield and about two miles from Grassington in Upper Wharfedale. It's been run by the same family for decades and it shows in the detail: sheltered gravel pitches for tourers and motorhomes, grass pitches for tents, metered electric available across most of the site, and enough woodland, wildlife and dry-stone-walled paths around the edges that you don't have to leave to feel like you're in the Dales proper. There's a small on-site shop, an information hut, a children's play area and free wi-fi, plus a holiday cottage and static caravans to rent if camping isn't for everyone in the group. Grassington's shops and pubs are a short drive or a decent uphill walk away, and the site makes a good, sheltered base for Wharfedale's limestone scenery without the crowds of the more famous Dales villages.
