About this campsite

A quiet family farm campsite in a wooded Dartmoor valley below Widecombe-in-the-Moor, run by the same family for more than a century. Camping spreads across three gently sloping fields edged by the East Webburn river, shallow enough for children to paddle in and cold enough to be a proper swim on a hot afternoon. Fire bowls are allowed off the ground, logs come from the little farm shop, and the night sky here is genuinely dark. Widecombe's church and pub are a mile up the lane, with Hound Tor, Haytor and the open moor beyond.
