Lydford Caravan and Camping Park is a family-run touring site on the western fringe of Dartmoor National Park, a short walk from the National Trust's Lydford Gorge with its Whitelady Waterfall and the Devil's Cauldron. The village itself has an eleventh-century castle and church, a well-regarded pub, and the disused Lydford railway line for an easy flat walk or cycle. Pitches are a mix of grass and hardstanding, most with electric hook-up, set within neat, sheltered grounds with modern toilet and shower facilities and a small on-site shop. It's a useful, unfussy base for exploring both the high moor around Great Links Tor and the Tamar Valley towards Cornwall.
