Dan's Den
Dan's Den, Lower Combe Lane, Chagford, Devon, TQ13 8DR, England

About this campsite
A small made-up campsite on the edge of the moor, kept deliberately simple: five acres of level grass, a stand of oak along the eastern boundary and a stream you can hear from most pitches. Twelve pitches in total, so it never feels busy. Campfires are allowed on every pitch and firewood is cut on site. The shower block is small but heated, and there is a covered washing-up area next to it. Dogs are welcome anywhere on the land as long as they are under control near the stream, where the sheep graze in spring. The nearest shop is a fifteen minute walk along the lane, and the pub does food until nine.
