Fisherground Campsite
Fisherground Farm, Eskdale, Holmrook, Cumbria, CA19 1TF

About this campsite
Fisherground is a family-run campsite in Eskdale, on the quieter western side of the Lake District, with its own halt on the miniature La'al Ratty steam railway running right through the site. It's designed with children very much in mind: there's a tree house, an adventure play trail, and rafts on the campsite's own pond, alongside the more usual fire pits and a well-stocked shop. Pitches are spread across several grass fields under mature trees, with a separate area for electric hook-up, and the surrounding fells - Scafell, Harter Fell and the Eskdale valley - offer some of the best low-level and high-level walking in the National Park without the crowds of the central valleys.
