About this campsite
Camp on the valley floor beneath the Langdale Pikes, where the fells rise steeply on every side and the light changes hour by hour. The camping meadows are informal grass, with cars kept up in the car park so the fields stay open to the mountains. Pike o' Stickle, Bowfell and the Crinkle Crags all start from the gate, and Stickle Ghyll's waterfalls are a twenty-minute walk. The Old Dungeon Ghyll and Sticklebarn are both within strolling distance for a pint after a long day out. Ambleside and Windermere are a half-hour drive down the valley when the weather turns.

Basic Camping Pod

One room insulated pod with fold-away floor mattresses, for two adults and one child or two adults on their own. Heat, light and sockets inside, glass doors onto a small deck and a picnic table outside, with a parking space nearby. Bring your own bedding and cook outside. Only one of the three Basic Pods takes dogs.
